Satellite Installation Weather Check

Check current and upcoming weather at an installation site before mounting or aligning a satellite dish. The tool reviews rain, precipitation probability, wind, gusts, visibility, thunderstorms and cloud cover, then gives a simple Good, Caution or Poor field-work verdict and highlights a better upcoming work window when available.

Installation location

Use your phone location or type the site coordinates manually.

Important: This tool helps plan field work and rough alignment conditions. It does not guarantee satellite signal quality. Always finish alignment with the decoder/satellite meter and avoid unsafe rooftop work during rain, lightning or strong wind.

How to use it

What the installer should check before climbing or aligning.

The verdict combines field-safety conditions with weather that can make alignment more difficult.

01Set the locationUse GPS at the installation site or enter accurate latitude/longitude.
02Check the verdictGood means workable conditions; Caution means proceed carefully; Poor means postpone if possible.
03Look at rainHeavy rain can make alignment harder and may temporarily weaken Ku-band reception.
04Look at wind and gustsStrong gusts make dish mounting, ladders and rooftop work unsafe and can move an unsecured dish.
05Check visibilityLow visibility often comes with heavy weather and makes safe field work harder.
06Use the next 6 hoursThe hourly cards help you avoid starting a job just before worse weather arrives.
07Use the best windowWhen available, choose the better upcoming hour for mounting and fine alignment.
08Finish with signal qualityWeather planning does not replace a meter. Peak signal quality after the dish is mounted.
09Never ignore safetyDo not work on roofs or metal structures during thunderstorms, lightning or dangerous wind.
